Ermenegildo Zegna: plains, snow and desert

Plains, snow and desert, settings that change together with colors and fabrics to present the collections by Ermenegildo Zegna. The suggestive permanent installation that we have created in the showroom in via Savona in Milan changes with each new season, creating a narrative and color link between the scenic design and the garments of the collection.
The plains describe the SS19 collection. The scenic design, made of four main islands, creates a path, a boardwalk that takes you to the discovery of the new look.
Many different prototypes were made in order to create the final look and accurately recreate the real environments. Hand-painted synthetic grass and artificial shrubs, sandblasted for an aged look, make the space even more realistic.
With the launch of the FW19 collection, the scenic design has been transformed into a typical winter landscape where the vegetation and the green turf have been redesigned to create a hyper-realistic snow effect.
For the SS20 collection the snowy landscape leaves space to the typical desert dunes, which were perfectly recreated in color and consistency by mixing different types of sand.
In harmony with the nuance of the garments, the scenic design is enriched with aged furniture and objects that recall to the erosion and charm of desert ghost cities.
Three collections and one space that reinvents itself to give life to new environments.
